• Things have been a little slow on the Uavtape front.
• And Welcome's gig with Josephine Foster was cancelled
• We'd like to welcome Daniel Green back to the UK after many months away. After only a handful of days in this country he played a set at Leeds Unity Day festival which went down very well by all accounts. We'll keep you updated - the man is a talent!

• Terrible news I'm afraid. Oats & Groats has now been cancelled due to licensing issue with the council and the site owner. We're all absolutely gutted here. Refunds are being provided from the shops that sold tickets or directly from Sally Mcgee.

• Oats & Groats is fast approaching. 7th, 8th, 9th of July in woods, in Leeds. A Uavtape friendly lineup if we ever saw one. After quite some uncertainty Fontaine will be playing (their first gig in over 2 years), Build A Fort, Set It On Fire will be performing No.3, Alex Neilson's Directing Hand project will be as well along with Inecto School, Sierpinski, James Green, Souvaris, George, McWatt and loads of other lovely bands. Tickets are going very fast we're told.
• The Inecto School release is nearly there - keep watching this space.
• The Observer on 11th of June will have an artice about Dreams Of Tall Buildings. May be interesting to get a bit of an insight into the projects of Justin Wiggan and Darren Joyce.
• And Welcome has just got a myspace thingy - please feel free to have a listen. In the next few weeks exclusive new tracks will be posted there for your pleasure.

• The OncE mini CD has finally been release through Uavtape. 3 wonderful tracks and artwork by Darren Joyce (of Dreams of Tall Buildings).
• Scatter's new album has been given 8/10 by the NME - that means very little but it's a little! Scatter – The Mountain Announces (not available from Uavtape - but Pickled Egg in UK - highly recommended)

• Scatter have cover articles on Wire and PlanB magazines. PlanB also has some of Oliver Neilson's illustration work within, he may well be contributing to P! and another project for Uavtape. We'll keep you informed.
• The July festival in Leeds that Fontaine and BAFSIOF will be performing at has finally been named, more on Oats & Groats will be announced via this site in the next fortnight.

• The Propulsion Family Picnic has agreed for more of their Hyde Park Cinema performance to be released through Uavtape. They last appeared on Uav04 - Postroticka compilation. They remain one of the most exciting bands to have come out of Leeds, well ever. This recording is a joyous reminder of how great they were to see play.
• Build a fort, set it on fire have confirmed their second ever performance, this time in Leeds, UK. May 5th 2006. Read more in the live section.
• Sierpinski, who have contributed to the Postroticka in the past are to release their second album, 9th June 2006 on the Jonathan Whiskey label. Evening Water Project is something of a triumph, find out more - at Norman Records website http://www.normanrecords.com/whiskey/ Don't forget... June 9th!!! Our favourte album of the year so far.
• Uavtape are currently working with various writers, scientists and illustrators for P!! P! is a patazine... a pataphysics magazine. If you have research or artwork that you would like to contribute to UAVTAPE - please contact p@uavtape.co.uk
• OncE has recorded three tracks for release on Uavtape in the next few weeks. OncE is the project of Darren Joyce of Dreams of Tall Buildings and Modified Toy Orchestra. You lucky, lucky people are in for a treat.
